Wiregrass Farmers Market Seed and Plant Swap set for Saturday

TIFTON — Area citizens can get a head-start on spring gardening with the Wiregrass Farmers Market’s third annual Seed and Plant Swap Saturday at the Georgia Museum of Agriculture at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College. The event will take place in the Museum Foyer from 9:30 – 11 a.m. There is no admission fee for the swap.

Attendees can bring items to share or visit to find new things to try in the yard or garden. Homemade cinnamon rolls, coffee, and juice will be available for purchase to support the Market.

YMCA to host Family Valentine Celebration Dance

ALBANY — Families are invited to attend the Albany Area YMCA Family Valentine Celebration Dance on Feb. 7 at 6:30 p.m. The dance will be held at the YMCA Central Facility, located at 1701 Gillionville Road. Tickets are $15.00 for one adult and one child, and $8.00 for each additional adult or child. Tickets can be purchased in advance or at the door.

Recreation and Parks Department to hold Senior Valentine Bingo Breakfast

ALBANY — The Albany Recreation and Parks Department will host a Senior Valentine Bingo Breakfast on Feb. 12 from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Albany Civic Center.

The Senior Valentin Bingo Breakfast is for senior citizens ages 50 and older. Tickets are on sale now at the ARPD office located at 1301 N. Monroe St. in Tift Park and are $5 per person. Seating is limited.
