Public safety roundup for Albany-Dougherty County from Saturday-Monday

ALBANY — The Albany Police Department responded to at least 27 incidents on Saturday, Sunday and into the early hours of Monday, available reports show. The incidents included:

— Assault/vandalism on the 700 block of Mobile Avenue;

— Criminal trespass on the 700 block of West Oglethorpe Boulevard and on the 2600 block of Dawson Road;

— Theft by shoplifting on the 200 block of Cordele Road and on the 2600 block of Dawson Road;

— Theft by receiving on the 700 block of Jordan Street;

— Burglary in the 1st degree on the 1000 block of Dunes Avenue;

— Battery on the 1400 block of East First Avenue;

— Simple battery on the 600 block of Johnson Road;

— Theft by taking on the 1300 block of West Broad Avenue and on the 2200 block of 12th Avenue;

— Motor vehicle theft on the 2700 block of Dawson Road and on the 1400 block of East Second Avenue;

— Disorderly conduct on the 2000 block of Evergreen Drive and on the 700 block of East Broad Avenue;

— Driving under the influence at East Broad Avenue and Oak Street;

— Public indecency (saggy pants) on the 2700 block of Gillionville Road;

— Theft of services on the 2600 block of Dawson Road;

— Criminal damage to property in the 2nd degree on the 900 block of Crawford Drive.

DOUGHERTY POLICE: The Dougherty County Police Department responded to at least 38 calls on Saturday and Sunday, available reports show. The incidents included:

— Family violence on the 600 block of Melissa Drive and on the 2800 block of Astoria Drive;

— Traffic accident on the 5200 block of Old Dawson Road and on the 400 block of Philema Road;

— Burglary on the 5300 block of Doles Road and on the 3300 block of Sylvester Road;

— Wanted person on the 1400 block of Mock Road and on the 3300 block of Sylvester Road;

— Suicide attempt on the 2300 block of Liberty Expressway.

ALBANY FIRE: The Albany Fire Department responded to at least on the 17 calls from Friday morning to Monday morning, available reports show. The incidents included a trash fire, unauthorized burning, grass fires, an overheated motor, EMS assistance, cooking fires, a water leak, building fires and an authorized controlled burning.

DOUGHERTY EMS: The Dougherty Emergency Medical Service responded to a total of 57 calls on Sunday, available reports show. There were 47 medical calls and 10 trauma calls.

The majority of the medical calls included, but were not limited to, nine respiratory issues, five chest pains, three altered mental statuses, three diabetic issues, two mental health issues, one OB/labor issue, one miscellaneous pain and 20 various medical calls. The majority of the trauma calls included, but were not limited to, six falls and three auto accident victims.
