Public safety roundup for Albany and Dougherty County

ALBANY — The Albany Police Department responded to at least 40 incidents on Thursday and the early hours of Friday, available reports show. The incidents included:

— Burglary on the 1500 block of Georgia Avenue, the 900 block of Moultrie Road, the 3800 block of Dominion Court, the 800 block of 1st Avenue and the 500 block of Pinson Road;

— Criminal trespass on the 600 block of Cherry Avenue, the 700 block of West 2nd Avenue, the 600 block of Cherry Avenue the 1500 block of Radium Springs Road, the 2000 block of Tompkins Avenue, the 500 block of landings Lane, the 2500 block of Crescent Drive, the 1100 block of St. Andrews Drive and the 3000 block of Stonewater Drive;

— Wanted person on the 500 block of Rosenberg Street;

— Theft by taking on the 100 block of West Oglethorpe Boulevard, the 700 block of South Westover Boulevard, the 1600 block of North Slappey Boulevard, the 2300 block of George Avenue and the 1200 block of 11th Avenue;

— Possession of marijuana on the 700 block of West Oglethorpe Boulevard and the 400 block of South Van Buren Street;

— Recovered property on the 600 block of 8th Avenue, the 200 block of West Oglethorpe Boulevard, the 800 block of 7th Avenue and the 100 block of North Slappey Boulevard;

— Battery on the 1600 block of East Oglethorpe Boulevard;

— Theft by shoplifting on the 2600 block of Dawson Road and the 200 block of Cordele Road;

— Robbery by force on the 700 block of Willard Street;

— Aggravated assault on the 600 block of Harmon Avenue;

— Criminal damage to property on the 2400 block of Sylvester Road and the 800 block of North Slappey Boulevard;

— Entering auto on the 400 block of West 3rd Avenue and the 800 block of West 2nd Avenue;

— Disorderly conduct on the 500 block of Louis Lane and the 700 block of Willard Avenue;

— Terrorist threats on the 1400 block of Avalon Avenue;

— Driving on suspended license on the 100 block of Front Street;

— Possession of cocaine on the 900 block of West Highland Avenue;

— Carrying a concealed weapon without a license on the 700 block of West Highland Avenue.

DOUGHERTY POLICE: The Dougherty County Police Department responded to at least 13 calls on Thursday, available reports show. The incidents included:

— Runaway on the 5600 block of Old Dawson Road;

— Animal call on the 3600 block of Morrell Lane, the 3100 block of Radium Springs Road and the 3300 block of Sylvester Road;

— Hit and run auto on the 1900 block of Old Dominion Road;

— Burglary on the 700 block of Gable Road;

— Family violence on the 1700 block of Cordele Road;

— Unwanted guest on the 400 block of Philema Road.

ALBANY FIRE: The Albany Fire Department responded to at least six incidents on Thursday, available reports show. The incidents included cooking fire, building fire, short in water heater, passenger vehicle fire, fire in outside storage racks and alarm system activation.

DOUGHERTY EMS: The Dougherty Emergency Medical Service responded to at least 43 incidents on Thursday, available reports show. Medical incidents included chest pains, respiratory issues, altered mental status, miscellaneous pain issues, faints, mental health calls, diabetic issues, one cardiac arrest, one seizure, and 12 various medical calls.

Trauma calls included eight auto accident victims, one fall and one laceration.
