Was listening to GPB radio’s “Morning Edition” local news and heard about the Facebook contribution to a nude beach on Tybee Island. The mayor says Tybee has “family beaches.”

Tybee’s politics would label the Tea Party “a bleeding heart liberal.”

I recall Tybee Island in the 1960s and 1970s when the city’s police meandered the beaches and determined if a female’s bikini met the city ordinance (square inches top and bottom). A bathing suit that met Florida’s requirements would fail Georgia’s.

I do not see Tybee Island forfeiting its jurisdiction over the beaches with the present government, immediately or this century.
