Albany police respond to report of gunshots

Shots reported fired on South Madison Street early Friday

ALBANY — Among the incidents keeping the Albany Police Department busy into the early morning hours on Friday were gunshots in a south Albany neighborhood, reports show.

The call came in reporting gunshots from 2020 S. Madison St. just after 12:30 a.m. The complainant told the officer at the scene that she heard several loud gunshots a few minutes earlier in rapid succession. She said they sounded close, but that she did not see anyone outside, a report on the incident said.

There was no damage or injuries reported in connection to the reported gunshots. The report has been labeled as a reckless conduct case.
