Public safety roundup for Albany and Dougherty County

ALBANY — The Albany Police Department responded to at least 25 incidents on Wednesday and the early hours of Thursday, available reports show. The incidents included:

— Criminal trespass on the 200 block of Patrol Drive, the 200 block of North Mock Road, the 300 block of Vintage Road, the 1500 block of Crescent Drive, the 1000 block of North McKinley Street and the 2000 block of Beachview Drive;

— Driving on suspended license on the 900 block of Westover Boulevard;

— Wanted person on the 200 block of East Broad Avenue and the 400 block of West Broad Avenue;

— Battery on the 1500 block of West Waddell Avenue;

— Controlled substance on the 200 block of Telfair Avenue;

— Theft by shoplifting on the 200 block of South Slappey Boulevard and the 2600 block of Dawson Road;

— Entering auto on the 600 block of North Westover Boulevard and the 500 block of Pinson Road;

— Disorderly conduct on the 1200 block of Radium Springs Road, the 200 block of West Society Avenue and the 1400 block of Whispering Pines Road;

— Soliciting rides on the 2400 block of North Slappey Boulevard;

— Open container on the 900 block of Leisure Court;

— Burglary on the 600 block of Partridge Drive;

— Missing person on the 800 block of Rosedale Avenue;

— Financial transaction card fraud on the 1200 block of Kingstown Court;

— Forgery on the 2200 block of Gillionville Road;

— Theft by taking on the 600 block of West Roosevelt Avenue.

DOUGHERTY POLICE: The Dougherty Police Department responded to at least eight calls on Wednesday. The incidents included:

— Recovered vehicle on the 1300 block of Dorough Road;

— Traffic accident at Aristedes and Leary Roads;

— Speeding vehicle at Liberty Expressway and Moultrie Road;

— Suspicious person on the 3000 block of Coakley Avenue and Jacqueline Drive.

ALBANY FIRE DEPARTMENT: The Albany Fire Department responded to at least nine calls on Wednesday. The incidents included alarm system activation, EMS calls, grass fire and shorted electrical outlet,

DOUGHERTY EMS: The Dougherty Emergency Medical Service responded to at least 50 incidents on Wednesday, available reports show. Medical incidents included chest pain calls, seizures, cardiac arrests, one faint, one altered mental status, 19 various medical calls and seven miscellaneous pain calls.

Trauma calls included five auto accident victims and three falls.
