Public safety roundup for Albany and Dougherty County

ALBANY — The Albany Police Department responded to at least 31 incidents on Thursday and the early hours of Friday, available reports show. The incidents included:

— Criminal trespass on the 1300 block of Hobson Street, the 100 block of Embleton Court, the 1700 block of Pineknoll Lane, the 2000 block of 12th Avenue, the 1000 block of North Magnolia Street, the 2000 block of West Broad Avenue, the 1000 block of North Slappey Boulevard, the 1300 block of West Waddell Avenue and the 200 block of Telfair Avenue;

— Burglary on the 1800 block of Keystone Avenue, the 1900 block of East Residence Avenue and the 100 block of West Oglethorpe Boulevard;

— Battery on the 1800 block of Gillionville Road, the 2500 block of Cherokee Drive, the 1700 block of West Broad Avenue, the 2500 block of North Slappey Boulevard and the 400 block of Wells Avenue;

— Theft by taking on the 900 block of Corn Avenue, the 1200 block of West Oglethorpe Boulevard, the 1300 block of North Jefferson Street, the 1100 block of West Waddell Avenue and the 1000 block of Neatherland Lane;

— Wanted person on the 1300 block of East Broad Avenue;

— Recovered property on the 1700 block of South Slappey Boulevard, the 300 block of West Oglethorpe Boulevard and the 1300 block of North Davis Street;

— Theft by shoplifting on the 300 block of East Oglethorpe Boulevard, the 2600 block of Dawson Road and the 200 block of Cordele Road;

— Disorderly conduct on the 1700 block of Cordell Avenue;

— Entering auto on the 600 block of 16th Avenue.

DOUGHERTY POLICE: The Dougherty Police Department responded to at least seven calls on Thursday. The incidents included:

— Suspicious auto on the 2100 block of Gillionville Road;

— Alarm on the 5600 block of Old Dawson Road, the 1900 block of Pecan Grove Drive, the 4500 block of Lacosta Drive and the 1200 block of Moultrie Road.

ALBANY FIRE DEPARTMENT: The Albany Fire Department responded to at least eight calls on Thursday. The incidents included unauthorized burning, alarm system activation, downed power line, bomb scare assist and EMS call.

DOUGHERTY EMS: The Dougherty Emergency Medical Service responded to at least 52 incidents on Thursday, available reports show. Medical incidents included altered mental status, miscellaneous pain calls, various medical calls, one chest pain issue, one respiratory call, one seizure, one mental heath call and 28 various medical calls.

Trauma calls included three falls and two assaults.
