Intensivist Kenneth G. Kalassian, M.D., has joined Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital as the medical director of critical care services.
Over the course of his 20-year career in medicine, Kalassian has served as medical director for critical care departments in Atlanta, Pittsburgh, and Los Angeles and was most recently the medical director of respiratory care at Physicians Regional Medical Center in Naples, Fla.
Kalassian earned his medical degree at Stanford University School of Medicine in Stanford, Calif. He completed his internship and residency at Stanford University Medical Center, where he also completed fellowships in both critical care and pulmonary medicine.
He is board certified in internal medicine, critical care medicine, neurocritical care and pulmonary disease. He is a member of the American Medical Association, American College of Physicians, American Thoracic Society, Society of Critical Care Medicine and Neurocritical Care Society, and is a fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians.
He is married to Josi Roland Kalassian.
