NASHVILLE — Spring broke a few days early for country music superstar Luke Bryan.

The Leesburg native’s sixth spring break EP, “Spring Break 6 … Like We Ain’t Ever,” debuted No. 1 on Billboard’s Country Albums chart and ranked No. 2 on Billboard’s Top 200 Albums list. It was released March 11.

“Spring Break 6” sold 74,296 copies, bringing sales so far for the series to 825,000 copies. The latest annual installment in the series includes six original songs, all of which were co-written by Bryan.

He debuted the songs last weekend at a pair of performances at the Spinnaker Club at Panama City Beach, Fla., which attracted more than 230,000 fans. The video for one of the songs, “She Get Me High,” is set to premier Saturday on CMT’s “Hot 20” program. A performance of the song at Panama City was broadcast on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show.”

Meanwhile, his current single from “Crash My Party,” the top-selling country album of 2013, has been released to country radio stations.

Bryan, currently on his My Kind of Night Tour, is set to co-host the ACM Awards with Blake Shelton at 8 p.m. April 6, where Bryan, who also will perform that night, is nominated for the top honor, Entertainer of the Year, that he won at the 2013 awards show. The ACM Awards will be broadcast on CBS.
