Christina Payne of Draffin & Tucker, LLP has completed and passed all four parts of the exam to become a Certified Public Accountant.
The CPA exam is administered by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants to ensure only qualified individuals become CPAs.
Payne joined Draffin & Tucker’s Albany office in 2011, after receiving both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in accounting from Georgia Southern University. Payne resides in Albany and will be married in May to J.P. Petsch, also a CPA with Draffin & Tucker.
Dr. James Hill, professor of English and chair of the Department of English, Modern Languages and Mass Communications at Albany State University, has been chosen to serve a two-year term as vice president of the Georgia Council of Teachers of English.
A long-standing member of the Council and an executive board member, Hill was elected to office in February at the group’s annual conference.
