Public safety roundup for Albany and Dougherty County

ALBANY — The Albany Police Department responded to at least 23 incidents on Tuesday and the early hours of Wednesday, available reports show. The incidents included:

— Criminal trespass on the 1000 block of Clark Avenue, the 2200 block of South Washington Street and the 2100 block of Colquitt Avenue;

— Entering auto on the 500 block of Odom Avenue, the 1300 block of 7th Avenue and the 1100 block of Seminole Lane;

— Aggravated assault on the 1100 block of Swift Street and the 400 block of Dunes Avenue;

— Battery on the 1200 block of Van Deman Street, the 1100 block of Lee Street and the 1200 block of Netherland Lane;

— Burglary on the 1000 block of North Van Buren Street;

— Theft by shoplifting on the 2600 block of Dawson Road and the 2400 block of Sylvester Road;

— Recovered property on the 2000 block of Beattie Road, the 2200 block of East Oglethorpe Boulevard and the 200 block of Cordele Road;

— Financial transaction card theft on the 1500 block of East Society Avenue;

— Theft by taking on the 1000 block of West Gordon Avenue;

— Harassing phone calls on the 600 block of Tulsa Lane;

— Theft by deception on the 2500 block of Wexford Drive;

— Battery of unborn child on the 400 block of West Third Avenue.

DOUGHERTY POLICE: The Dougherty Police Department responded to at least 14 calls on Tuesday, available reports show. The incidents include:

— Family violence on the 300 block of Branch Road and the 3200 block of Sylvester Road;

— Hit and run on the 400 block of South Westover Road;

— Animal call on the 4800 block of Impala Lane.

ALBANY FIRE: The Albany Fire Department responded to at least three incidents on Tuesday. Calls included assist to Albany Police Department, unauthorized burning and fire in mobile home.

DOUGHERTY EMS: The Dougherty Emergency Medical Service responded to 53 calls on Tuesday. The incidents included 39 medical calls and 14 trauma calls.

The medical calls included four respiratory issues, three chest pains, two mental health issues, one altered mental status and 18 various medical calls.

The trauma calls included eight falls, three auto accident victims and three assaults.
