ALBANY – Mrs. Fleter (Tea Berry) Williams, 87 departed this life at Miller County Hospital in Colquitt, Georgia on Tuesday, May 20, 2014 leaving this world to be with the Lord.
Fleter was born in Newton, Georgia on July 7, 1926 to the late Sam Henry and Claria Jones Williams.
Early in life, Fleter heeded the call of Christ and joined Green Grove Christian Methodist Episcopal Church in Newton, Georgia. We know deep in our hearts that she’s gone to a better place. She was preceded in death by her three sisters Beatrice White, Marie Dunham, and Racheal Hawkins.
She leaves her cherished memories to her two children Harvey (Ella) Williams and Verlinda Benton; two nieces, Racheal (Ezra) Nelson and Earl Mae (M.J.) Hawkins; four nephews, Pammie (Catherine) Hawkins, James (Deloris) Dunham, Herman (Patsy) Dunham, and Reginald (Teresa) White; thirteen grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. Special thanks to Tyress Garrett, who was her caregiver and friend.
Funeral Services will be conducted Saturday, May 24, 2014 at 3:00PM at Green Grove Christian Methodist Episcopal Church in Newton, Georgia with Pastor Connie Scott officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held today, Friday, May 23, 2014 from 10:00AM until 8:30PM at M. L. King Southside Chapel, 1908 M. L. King, Jr. Drive. The family will receive friends at 3014 Deliverance Church Road in Newton.
