Four area high school students receive DOCO scholarships

ALBANY — Amelia Middlebrooks from Deerfield-Windsor School, Allyn Jones of Westover High School, Andrew May of Albany who is home schooled and Emily Royal of Fitzgerald High School have been awarded $1,500 scholarships from DOCO Credit Union.

DOCO has been awarded the scholarships for 10 years. More than 50 students competed for the scholarship funds. This is the first year DOCO increased the number of scholarships from two to four.

“When I received the call and was told that I was to receive the DOCO scholarship, it was like a breath of fresh air,” said May. “It made me realize that all my hard work throughout high school was finally paying off.”
