Nude woman arrested outside Dougherty club

ALBANY — Officers called to Club Parisians, 1900 Liberty Expressway around 1 a.m. on Sunday to find the complainant, Mycia Burden, 25, nude on the outside of the premises.
Lt. Chad Kirkpatrick with the Dougherty County police said Burden, who was using loud profane language, told the officers that she and her companion, Maeletha Robinson, were dancers at the club and had been removed from the establishment by the management.
Almana Shelton, a security person at the club told officers that Burden and Robinson had been arguing with each other inside the club and being rude to customers. Shelton said she asked the two women to leave the club and then gathered up their clothes and belongings and took them to the door, but Burden left without her clothes, saying “she was going to wait until the cops arrived, so the club would get in trouble.”
Burden was taken into custody and charged with disorderly conduct, Kirkpatrick said. he also said Club Parisians, which advertises itself on Facebook as a gentleman’s club with entertainment and two 16-foot poles, is being investigated for possible infraction of decency laws.
“To my knowledge, total nudity is not allowed,” Kirkpatrick said, “but we’ll need to have all the facts before any charges are made.”
Dougherty County District Attorney Greg Edwards said the distinction may hinge on whether the club charges an entrance fee to view the entertainment.
“The ordinance addresses public indecency,” Edwards said, “and generally that means total or partial nudity. If it’s a private club, they may not be violating the law.”
