ALBANY — Officials with the Albany Police Department said late Wednesday afternoon that charges were pending in connection to the death of a child at Rivercrest Apartments.
Phyllis Banks, spokeswoman for the APD, said law enforcement officers were on the scene of 525 Don Cutler Sr. Drive, Apt. 59, at 5 p.m., where the death of a 2-year-old girl had been confirmed. Banks said the cause of death was under investigation, but that it initially appeared as though at least one person would be charged with concealment of a death.
Banks said the girl’s body was going to be sent for an autopsy, and that additional charges could be filed pending the results of the autopsy.
