ALBANY — Four individuals were arrested in a drug bust on Radium Springs Road on Friday, reports from the Albany Police Department show.

Officer Charles Edwards reported that he saw a 2012 Honda Accord traveling northward on the 200 block of Radium Springs Road with a cracked windshield at around 2:20 a.m. A traffic stop was performed on the 100 block of North Broadway Street.

While speaking with the driver, Charlie Bush, Edwards said he saw a clear bag next to the center console where Christopher Quimby was sitting. Quimby told the officer he did not know what was in the bag, and when he handed it to Edwards at the officer’s request, the clear substance was later identified as methamphetamine, the report said.

The report said Quimby was placed under arrest. When Bush was asked to exit the vehicle, another clear bag was discovered on the driver’s floor that was confirmed to contain crack cocaine — and he was also arrested, the report said.

Two other individuals, Cortney Hicks and Narkia Morman, were sitting in the back seat of the car. A clear bag filled with marijuana was found in a purse between the two of them, and both were also placed under arrest, the report from Edwards said.

A search of the vehicle uncovered a digital scale underneath the ashtray, along with some cough syrup in a prescription bottle with no label. A check of the trunk also revealed a box of sandwich bags and, in a purse, several green bags along with marijuana residue, the APD report said.

The case was turned over to the Albany-Dougherty Drug Unit. The four individuals were charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of meth with intent to distribute and possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, the report said.
