Obituaries

Obituaries published in The Albany Herald are submitted through the newspaper’s Resource Center and accepted only from established funeral homes and crematories. Standard obituaries and death notices are free of charge while expanded obituaries are available at a cost, beginning at $50.

No paid or expanded obituaries will be accepted Saturdays, Sundays or on Holidays as these days are handled by the newsroom and not the Resource Center.

Please ask your funeral director for assistance with completing obituaries. The deadline for submitting obituaries for next day’s publication is 3:00 PM. No exceptions.
