Westwood finishes out its third perfect season in school history Friday night by beating Memorial Day, 31-12, in Savannah to capture the GISA Class A State Championship.
Just six prep football teams left vying for a state ttile in Southwest Georgia
Miller County and Americus-Sumter are the only teams left from Southwest Georgia vying for a GHSA crown, while SGA, DWS Westwood and Terrell Academy are all still alive in GISA.

Dougherty steaming after 23-20 loss to Worth County
Dougherty takes advantage of a hurting Worth County team that was missing five starters, but after the go-ahead Trojans touchdown was called back with 1:36 to play, the Trojans never recovered and end up losing, 23-20, the Rams, who are now on the verge of locking up the No. 3 seed in Region 1-AAA race.
