Herald No. 1 Monroe finally opens its season after waiting more than three weeks and has an easy time beating Americus-Sumter’s Panthers, 66-36, on Tuesday night, while Herald No. 4 Americus-Sumter beats Herald No. 3 Monroe’s girls, 53-46, to stay perfect.
