Live Oak Elementary student and “Whiz Kid” Ah’maya Johnson watches as a variety of fish swims in a tank at the Flint RiverQuarium in Albany Wednesday. Ah’maya is one of 30 children who are part of the Whiz Kids mentoring partnership between the Dougherty County School System and Porterfield United Methodist Church. The Whiz Kids visited the RiverQuarium to see exhibits and learn about the habitats of the various fish and wildlife species indigenous to Southwest Georgia.
