Worried about another injury, Giants manager Bochy instructs Posey to stop blocking plate
When the Giants' pitchers and catchers reported Sunday, San Francisco manager Bruce Bochy told reporters that he has instructed Buster Posey to not block the plate, which would prevent the Leesburg native from another injury like the one that ended his sophomore season.
Giants: Posey will return as catcher
The Giants say star Buster Posey will return in 2012 to his natural position of catcher, despite speculation he may move to a safer spot on the field in an effort to better protect him from another season-ending injury.
