It seemed odd Monday when — just three games into the regular season — the Giants were sitting starting catcher Buster Posey, but it turns out that it’s all part of a strategy that will be implemented throughout this season to ensure the face of the franchise remains healthy as he battles back from an injury that cost him most of last year.
