Fifth grade students at Lake Park Elementary gave a lesson in the physics of volcanos on Tuesday. Students produced projects that demonstrated the various surface features, such as earthquakes, geysers and volcanos. Powered by baking soda, vinegar and Mentos, and with a kindergarten class cheering and laughing, more than 15 of the mini volcanoes sputtered, fizzed, oozed and gushed.
