Mary Johnson, the assistant director of the Coca-Cola Space Science Center in Columbus, and Scott Norman, the center’s director of education, prepare to pack solar telescopes to take to the Gobi Desert in Mongolia. They will observe and produce a live webcast the Venus transit across the sun on Tuesday.
