Braves starter Brandon Beachy led the major leagues in ERA before leaving injured late last week. The team announced Wednesday he will have Tommy John surgery.

The Braves announce early Wednesday evening that the ace of their staff this season, Brandon Beachy, will miss 12-18 months as a result of having to undergo Tommy John surgery.
