Mitchell County’s Stacey Butler (25) fights for a rebound during the first half of Friday’s GHSA Class A Elite 8 game against Lanier in Milledegeville. The Eagles, who were big underdogs against the state-ranked Bulldogs, not only held their own, but had a shot to win it in the final seconds, but Butler’s shot was just off the mark.
