An Albany firefighter wades into smoking debris next to Purvis Auto Repair at 1605 Camp Lane. The fire started at about 12:15 p.m. Tuesday. The debris was from a manufactured home that is under demolition in the lot next to Purvis’ repair shop. With the wind whipping the flames, Buddy Purvis said he took a water hose and put out any fire that crept onto his side of the fence. No injuries were reported.
