Sherwood senior Patrick Stanford is licking his chops over a final shot at city rival Deerfield tonight after Stanford — who leads the Eagles in scoring with 23 points a game and broke the school single-game record with 43 in a game last week — was sick in the first meeting and scored just four points.

Patrick Stanford was under the weather the first meeting this season between Sherwood and Deerfield — a 31-point Knights win — but since then the Eagles’ senior has come on in a big way, including breaking the school’s single-game scoring record with 43 points last week heading into tonight’s rivalry rematch on Old Pretoria Road.
