By Floyd Ledford

On Feb. 3rd, I lost a dear friend, J.W. Daughtry. J.W. and I go back to the “Leave It To Beaver” days back in the ’50s, when life was beautiful.

Being teenagers, we all shared together football games, hayrides, school dances, swimming in the creek, bonfires, camping, double dating and malt shops. What a wonderful life it was to share those days with J.W.

To J.W.’s family: How lucky you were to have a such a beautiful dad and granddad. You have memories to last a lifetime. Also to the family, may I say, “Thank you and may God bless you.”
