Sickle cell disease affects about 100,000 Americans
Patients can be admitted to the outpatient unit from either the emergency center or the Sickle Cell Clinic. Each of these locations will follow the same guidelines for admission to the unit. The patient will be assessed by our well trained clinical staff and then sent to the unit to receive pain treatment.
