Tifton's UGA campus hosting cotton, peanut field day

Registration required by Thursday

The Georgia Peanut Commission, Georgia Cotton Commission and the UGA cotton and peanut teams will host the field day, which begins at 8:30 a.m. at the Lang-Rigdon Farm, located on 230 Rigdon Altman Road, Tifton.

Albany City Commission candidate Chad Warbington resigns appointed board positions

Warbington has been serving on the Albany utility board and the Economic Development Commission

Chad Warbington, who is running to unseat Ward IV City Commissioner Roger Marietta, said in an email Tuesday that he is resigning from the city of Albany’s utility board and from the Albany-Dougherty EDC, where he serves as treasurer.
