Chameleons find a home at Chehaw

Chehaw houses 14 juvenile chameleons

The chameleons began laying eggs soon after their arrival at Chehaw. Female chameleons dig burrows to deposit their eggs and provide no parental care after the eggs have been covered with soil. The eggs were collected by Chehaw staff and carefully incubated for more than seven months before hatchlings began emerging.
