Terrell tour to turn back clock
Saturday’s 18th annual Tour of Homes features architecture made popular in the Industrial Age.

DAWSON — History fans can get a glimpse of the past this weekend as the Terrell County Historic Preservation Society holds its 18th annual Tour of Homes Saturday.

The tour is set for 10 a.m.-5:30 p.m. It features five homes, a church and a courthouse, which can be visited in any order.

Advance tickets are $12.50 for adults and $6 for children 12 and younger. They are available at the Terrell County Chamber of Commerce, Southern Crop Production Association and Truitt Martin LLC.

On the day of the event, tickets are $15 for adults and $9 for children 12 and younger. They will be sold in front of the Terrell County Chamber of Commerce. As will brochures, afghans, pillows and sun catchers. Restroom facilities will also be available at the site.

Lunches will also be offered for purchase in the First United Methodist Church’s meeting hall on the day of the tour.
