ALBANY Mr. Bill Cheeks, 93, of 3430 Aristedes Rd., Albany died May 14, 2008 at his home. Funeral services will be Monday 1 P.M. at Oak Grove Baptist Church with interment in the church cemetery. Rev. Reginald Swan, Pastor will officiate.
Mr. Cheeks was born July 14, 1914 in Albany. He attended Dougherty Co. Public Schools and was a retired farmer. He was a member of the Deacon board and President of the Usher Board at Oak GRove Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Tommy Cheeks (Dee) of Miami, FL and Henry Cheeks (Carrie) of Albany, one daughter, Barbara Rouse (Charlie) of Albany, one sister, Irene Ross of Philadelphia, PA, 15 grandchildren, several great and great great grandchildren.
The remains of Mr. Cheeks will be in the church on Monday 12 noon until the funeral hour.

PELHAM Ray Bozeman Autry, 82, of Hinsonton died May 15, 2008 at her residence. Funeral services will be Sunday 2 P.M. at Jamerson-Braswell Funeral Home Chapel with interment in Liberty Hill Baptist Church cemetery. Dr. Bobby Johns will officiate. Visitation will be Saturday, 5-7 at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be, W.E. Bozeman, Doug Adair, Joe McGalliard, Louie Autry, Danny Autry, and Joey Autry.
Ray Bozeman Autry was known for her many contributions to the county. She was a past board member of Mitchell Co. Hospital Authority and past board member of Mitchell Co. Hospital Foundation Capital Fund Raising Committee. Ms. Autry was past board member of the Mitchell Co. Dept. of Family and Childrens Services. Ms. Autry was a former member of the Pelham Chamber of Commerce and served on many of its committees. She was also a member of the William T. Flynt Chapter 303 order of the Easter Star. Ms. Autry was a former member of Pinecrest Country Club having served as President of the Pinecrest Ladies Club. Ray was an avid golfer, playing with teams and friends through out Southwest Georgia. She was involved in the Mitchell EMC Leaders Programs since its inception in 1951. She served as chairperson for the Mitchell Co. Leaders, being very active, supportive and loyal in her role. Her love for her the church, Hinsonton Baptist, was shown not only in her participation. but also thru her many generous gifts to enhance its beauty. Her late husband Jimmy was her first love. Next came her family, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. However, Ray always had time for her neighbors and friends from far and wide. She also loved to travel. She will be deeply missed by each person whose life she touched.
Ms. Ray was born January 10, 1926 in Mitchell Co. to the late William Elzie Bozeman and Lola Phillips. She was a homemaker and was a member of Hinsonton Baptist Church.
Survivors include her sons, J. E. Autry III and wife Dondra of Hinsonton and Hank and wife Phyllis of Hinsonton, daughter, Lola A. Whitfield and husband John of Hinsonton, eight grandchildren, Michelle A. Smith, Jimmy Autry IV, Jim Weathersby, Ashby Autry, Prentiss Autry, John Whit Whitfield, Jr., Autry Ray Whitfield and Kristen Whitfield, three great grandchildren, Worth Smith, Luke Smith and Ty Autry.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William Elzie Bozeman and Lola Phillips Bozeman, her husband, J.E. Jimmy Autry, Jr., brothers, Paul Bozeman and Willie Hill Bo Bozeman and sisters, Alma Bozeman, Azolene Bozeman and Margaret Adair.

A Disney cast member, working as a Finance Director in the Resort/Food & Beverage area for almost 16 years. He was a sports fanatic and especially enjoyed, golf, baseball and football.
He survived by his children, Casey, Victoria and Matthew Johnston and their mother, Ann Johnston of Orlando, FL; mother , June Johnston of Vienna; father, Bobby Joe Johnston (Betty) of Albany; brother, Joey Johnston also of Albany; niece, Morgan Johnston of Leesburg; uncles, Johnny Cumbus (Terri) of Vienna, Jimmy Cumbus (Betty) of Vienna, James Johnston (Sally) of Griffin and Thomas Johnston (Edna) of Macon; and a host of cousins and many friends.
