SYLVESTER — The owner of a popular plant nursery in Sylvester has been charged with child molestation involving two girls, a police investigator said Wednesday.

Sandra Dieckman, 46, was jailed Friday on a single charge of child molestation involving a 14-year-old female who was the relative of an employee, Sylvester Police Investigator Tony Strenth said.

On Wednesday, police charged Dieckman with two additional counts of child molestation involving a second female under 14 years old that allegedly took place in November and February, Strenth said.

“In the interview of the first victim, the second victim’s name was brought up,” he said.

Dieckman posted a $20,000 bond and has been released from the Worth County Jail, Sheriff Freddie Tompkins said.

Dieckman is the owner and operator of Emerald Garden Center, a plant nursery on Georgia Highway 33 North in Sylvester.

Strenth said additional charges against Dieckman are pending.
