Kinchafoonee Cowboys to play Sasser

SASSER — Kinchafoonee Cowboys fans are in luck as the six-man band will be in concert this weekend.

The performance will be held 8 p.m.-11 p.m. Saturday at Sasser Flea Market and Antique Mall in Sasser, with gates open at 7 p.m.

Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the gate.

Visitors are invited to bring their lawn chairs and coolers.

Named after Kinchafoonee Creek, a tributary of the Flint River, Kinchafoonee Cowboys is a band that was started in 1991 by a group of friends in Terrell County.

Since that time, the Kinchafoonee Cowboys have performed all over the state and with such names as Alabama, John Anderson, Martina McBride and the Dave Matthews Band.

The group has also recorded several albums including their 2005 live performance project, “Cowboy Ways: Live at the Georgia Theater 2005.”
