Artistic evening set for Thursday
The works of several artists, plus a musical performance, will highlight an event.

FITZGERALD — The Carnegie Center will be the site for an evening of music and art this week.

The event starts at 7 p.m. Thursday at the center, which is located at 120 S. Lee St. in Fitzgerald.

The evening will feature the work of artists Jessie Cumby, Toby Smith and Glynn Black, all of whom are from the Douglas area and whose works are on display at the center.

In addition, a collection of smaller carvings by C.M. Copeland, which is on loan by Louis Harper, will be exhibited.

The evening will also include a musical performance by classical guitarist Robert Sharpe.
