However, the Volunteers defense has performed well in cleaning up the offenses mess. Those nine turnovers have only resulted in 19 points by the opponents.
Under defensive coordinator John Chavis, UT is ranked in the Top 13 in the FBS in four major defensive categories.
Where the defense had to jump back on the field immediately, they have only given up 19 points in those situations, which is fantastic defense, Georgia coach Mark Richt said. The ball is turned over (and) all the sudden you are in the situation you have to keep the team from scoring, they have done a great job.
The Georgia offense has been equally as good when given a short field. In the red zone this season, the Bulldogs are nearly perfect, going 15-of-16; the one missed opportunity coming when the clock ran out with UGA on the 1 against Arizona State.

n HONOR AND RANK?: Today marks only the second time since 1981 that Tennessee comes into face Georgia unranked.
The Volunteers began the year ranked No. 18, but have since fallen out following losses to UCLA, Auburn and Florida.
n PICKING BERRY: Tennessee is tied for eighth in the nation with nine interceptions on the season. They are led by safety Eric Berry, on the watch list for Lott Trophy, who has grabbed three.
Berry, only a sophomore, is already fifth on the Vols career list for interception return yards with 271.
Berry returned a pick 48 yards last week against Northern Illinois.
n JUST FOR KICKS: The Volunteers rank last in punting coming into todays game against Georgia. But that seems likely to change.
Punter Britton Colquitt was suspended for the first five games of the season but returns today. He was on the Ray Guy Award watch list before the season, is a three-year letterwinner and averages 42.4 yards a punt on his career.
