They should all listen to Mr. Crowdis. He seems to be the only one with any sense of what the community requires of this commission.
He insulted the wrong people. Last we read about him in the Herald, I believe the article said he defaulted on his debts and was living with his mother.
Worst idea ever. You could put a Paula Deen RESTAURANT in Albany and it would fail.
I wonder who he means by "non-profits" which don't pay their share? Is it many, or just one?
I wonder why they refuse to represent their constituents?
For those who haven't figured this out yet, preachers are the single least-honest group in society. Law enforcement types are a close second, followed immediately by politicians, lawyers, hospital administrators and bankers.
See - there IS a bright side to the DCSS cheating scandal. Graduates of other school systems know not to call the cops when they own a grow house.
People who don't know anything about music consider Clapton a "deity." Those of us who actually DO know music know that Clapton is a hack-actually. His playing isn't even technically proficient. You want technical profiency among Clapton's "peers", look at Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, SRV, Joe Bonamassa, even Joe Walsh. I can outplay Clapton - and I'm a drummer.
Marriage between a man and a woman isn't "top-down". It is a protection offered by the government for the economic and social unit that produces children. This issue, a supreme court case involving just 8 homosexual couples, has taken a national spotlight because so many homosexuals want what their parents and society have denied to them... someone to say that homosexuality is normal and acceptable. Since society won't, since religion won't, since the law won't... they are desperate for the courts to proclaim them "normal." Every society in history marks the beginning of its collapse at the point when homosexuality became acceptable and the importance of the heterosexual-family unit became dimished.
Those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it.
The difference is that violence is an integral part of the intitution of Islam and is rejected by the teachings of Christianity.
