Good for you Mayor Hubbard, it's about time someone put Postell in his place. Postell wants to control WG & L affairs, since Postell is all about money. Postell is upset due to not having a say on how WG & L spends that money.

Bill Clinton and Obama have the same values, no vision nor truth with in. Did not and will not vote for Obama, he had his chance at making a change for America, he only suceeded by causing more debit and allowing Americans to be lazy by becoming dependent on the government, this is not what our country was founding on!!! Squawker must be one that enjoys a free ride.

BAC 1 year, 7 months ago on Price: DCSS management 'broken'

Thank you Dr. Price, it's time for answers and it's time to for some on the board to go!!! James Bush, Mr. Murfree, Velvet Riggins and June Bug, to bad they don't know how to do the right thing by removing thyself. I sat in on a side meeting with Mr. Murfree after attending one of their open meetings and all he could say "I'm looking into those complaints", no answers and he tried to assure us our concerns would be addressed! All talk, no action!! Mr. Murfree is no different than our President, and look at the mess our country is in, say what the people want to hear and do as they please for thyselves no matter who suffers. The DCSS has been nothing but a three ring circus, and now Albany tax payers will pay for those mistakes.

There is always a hidden agenda with politicans, they will find ways to get the $$$$$. To impose a higher percentage for those regions that chose "no" on T-splost, has proven that agenda. Our local officals are crying!!! Boo hoo...the locals knew this was going to happen, they were banking on the voters to keep trusting they had our best of interest as how to use those funds, the very reason as to why they were pushing vote "YES" . To Jay Powell's comment, the distrust for our local government was the very reason "NO" vote won!! Facts speak loud and clear ( review the list of what the funds were used for locally) no roads just alot of buildings. Albany should be boo hooing, choosing to spend ( T-splost funds) of which was BIG $$$ on buildings instead of roads for better transportation. Roads bring people in not FANCY government buildings.

"Back off " not going to happen, others can speak against it, it's not just Democrats it's people of the world that cry out accept "my" decision as what is right, and what is wrong. It's wrong to "back off" and let man change the laws. For those that choose to speak against they are saying not to make it a law. Right and wrong was estabished at the begining of time. The world is so busy fighting against those that choose not to accept, they want us to keep quiet and look the other way. That's not going to happen. Plain and simple it's not the world that will have final say what it right and what is wrong, God will have final judgement.

Mugridge said "Everybody has an opportunity for free speech" that is a correct statement, and thank goodness we did thru our right to vote. Commissioners pay attention, the voters spoke loud and clear in regards to T-Splost and the garbage fees.

BAC 1 year, 8 months ago on Price: Late challenge for seat unfair

It is unfair. How sad for Rev Heard to be another puppet for DCSS. Just goes to show the mind set of those that pursue their will INSTEAD of the will of the voters, this sends a powerful message to citizens in Dougherty County it's revealing THEIR true character. Hang in there Ms. Price this to shall pass.

BAC 1 year, 8 months ago on Southwest Georgia voters reject T-SPLOST

Alright! Tax payers are tired of being taxed to death over what they call improvements on the highways and roads! Say what they will, they had their chance in the past now it's our turn to say no way, at least this tax is one the tax payers have a say, we are tired of misleading and the roads still are still in a mess. Take time to review the T-splost projects done in the past for Dougherty County what I read was VERY little repairing the roads and alot of building. The next plan is to vote out those leaders that continue to mishandle the rest of the tax payers money. Your work has just begun tax payers in Dougherty County start by removing those leaders that choose to increase the property taxes due to not being able to control spending. They are to busy looking out for what they want instead of doing the right thing for all.
