Are there any school district's in GA area that are not involved in some kind of wrongdoing? Atlanta, Randolph, Dougherty, and the list goes on and on. Another good one for all to see that is presently pending is: Hall vs. Pelham City School District et. al. filed on October 26, 2010 in the Middle District of Georgia, Albany Division (Federal). The case number is 1:10-cv-148 (WLS) and it involves a Pro Se teacher suing over multiple things to include discrimination, retaliation, whistleblowing, etc.
The bad part is that no one is really surprised about this political bull crap. The four who voted him back in to include the ineffective mayor that we have had for some time should be ashamed of themselves. At least Marietta and Langstaff have some sense. Yet, with leaders like Adams, Edwards, #34, etc. what can one expect from the 4th poorest nation in the entire U.S.? Weaver gets a free pass on being a criminal and Vester lies to the police but that is ok for a city such as the likes of Albany...or should I say "AGONY" Georgia. Do not think it stops with just the municipal court either: remember Judge Sands and the Phoebe/Palmyra case. Phoebe is immune to antitrust legislation...what a load of crap. God help us...worst place I have ever lived in and if I could find a different job and move I would. AGONY: The Good Life City...What a joke!!!
Well, in hindsight of the ASU Homecoming Weekend, what kind of message was ASU trying to send by having "Young Jeezy" as the highlight of their homecoming affairs. What a joke. What kind of education is being taught there anyways? The nerve to bring a rapper who has a track titled "Sex, Drugs, Money, and Murder" to the homecoming festivities. Not to mention he has been jailed for carrying concealed weapons before. And let us not forget that he satirized the brutal murder of Yale grad-student Annie Le and compared her corpse to drug money. Albany Georgia: What a "Good Life City".
The DCSS fiasco is a joke. #34 (i.e. Murfree) stated months back that there was a witch hunt going on in lieu of such cheating claims. Man, I bet he is kicking himself in the rear now as there is no telling how many administrators and teachers are under the microscope. The fact of the matter is that this is not only a problem with the DCSS but one that is in no doubt a statewide issue. Thanks to NCLB and AYP rules and regulations such cheating and tampering with tests are rampant throughout the state. Additionally, the DCSS is not the only joke of a school system and school board that is present in SW GA. Has anyone else been reading the news lately...Baker County Schools has been in the news for possible financial infractions, Mitchell County School District has been known to fudge scores on the GHSGT, the Pelham City School District is in the middle of a Federal lawsuit, and the list could go on and on here...Let's face it, public education in SW GA is in a mess and there seems to be no recipe for a cure. Voters should get out and elect school board members that will clean up their districts and make EDUCATION in those Districts a priority again rather than widespread politics and cronyism. The state of Georgia should also make the move to get out from NCLB and pursue actual learning rather than federally-mandated hogwash with dollars attached to it.
I have stated this before on this story and I will state it here again: hospitals in America are not immune to antitrust legislation and oversight. PPMH is not Major League Baseball or any other pro sports league who do have passes on such with regards to government restrictions on monopolization. Judge Sands stated in his ruling that PPMH is immune to antitrust legislation and then backed it up in his ruling with a bunch of mumbo-jumbo reasoning (40 pages of crap) that does not add up. The FTC saw right through such and within one week were appealing the decision by Sands to the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals. Sounds to me like the Judge needs to review antitrust legislation again (i.e. Clayton Antitrust Act, Sherman Antitrust Act, etc.) before he makes rulings pertaining to such issues; or perhaps he was in some way persuaded to make such statements in his ruling in the form of having his back scratched and his account enlarged. Either way, PPMH is attempting to take over the medical industry as we know it in the SW Georgia area and the allowing of Palmyra to be gobbled up is bad news for the citizens of Albany as we will be the ones suffering from it. Do not just take my word for it as ObjectiveEyes (posting above) has provided enough evidence to make this point clear.
I will have to take the line with Quantraveious on this one and by the way, there is absolutely no scientific evidence whatsoever that states that people are born gay, lesbian, etc. Take this example to see whether it be right or wrong from a moral standpoint: if today, everyone in the world chose to be gay or lesbian and all stopped being heterosexual altogether, where would the human race be in one hundred years? I have the answer: obsolete. Darton, in my opinion, is buying into the political correctness as a result of all the pressures of the issue in today's world. Yet, I must remember the story of Sodom and Gomorrah when God sent fire and brimstone and burned up the people due to their immoral acts and lifestyles. Last time I checked, God is still God and judgment is still in His discretion. He loves the sinners but He hates their sin (See Genesis Chapter 19; more importantly see John 3:16).
