Lee County administrator meets with fire/EMS personnel

You currently have a fire chief and EMS director, if these two departments are joined under one umbrella the county will then have to hire a Public Safety director to be in charge of both at a salary of $100k +. Cross training is fine but why stop with these two departments, why not include deputies, public works, building inspectors, animal control etc.

I see where being a felon and owning a rifle is legally wrong but the story leaves out much, what were the explosives ? under-the-sink chemicals ? what makes them terrorist ? what were they plotting if anything ? is this another Waco, Ruby Ridge ? is it a crime now to be white and a gunowner ? They need to focus on the middle east which are actually causing us harm, especially Saudi Arabia where most are bred/born. Scary, but from the description of the people arrested in this story many in South Ga. and across the nation could be accused of being terrorist next.

Great story with great results, now I hear the commissioners want to make firemen out of these guys which certainly is'nt their "calling" and I ask why ? if that happens Lee Co. will be a big loser in the EMS services becoming lacking. These guys see it all and have experiences that most can't comprehend, even the military knows better than this, Paramedics are'nt made regular soldiers for that very reason. BIG BIG mistake if that happens.

Sounds like the cops either arrested too many or not enough, why not arrest the guy from Macon who held the man while being beaten ?? This whole story has holes, off duty cop not helping, brother/sister story different from eveyone elses, tresspasser let go free ??? If this is a case of Albany PD's judgement calls it then has some serious questionable issues.

Not 1 thing in the bill is about controlling mass shooting/killers, its all about controlling you the law abiding citizen, we are Doomed !!! Georgia in general is one of the most beautiful states in the nation but generally the most littered ??? I suggest you check out the by-pass(both sides) around Albany from the western junction down to Putney, terrible sight for a city its size for 1st time visitors, that should have been your story and the failure of our Judges "community service" sentences.
