Well said Mr_Heatmiser.
First of all David Cheshire, it's called the "Lee County Sheriff's Office". If you're going to run for office there at least know what it's called. The Sheriff has done an outstanding job with what he was been given to run a growing Sheriff's Office that is also in a growing community. Come to think of it, I still don't think you have told the Sheriff yourself that you are going to run against him. The best you could do was tell the Chief Deputy, and then slink off with your tail between your legs. The least you could have done was to have told the Sheriff yourself that you were going to run against him. Then again, it would've taken a little gumption to have done that. I don't think the citizens of Lee County will be buying into your drivel, or voting you into the Office of the Sheriff. I, along with many other citizens of Lee County are happy with the job that Sheriff Reggie Rachals, and the Lee County Sheriff's Office is doing already.
It looked more like a yard sale than it did a campaign meet & greet. Come to think of it, I've seen more people hanging out at yard sales than what I saw out there. I sure hope David Cheshire can drum up more support than what was hanging out with him Saturday afternoon. If not, I'm afraid that he's going to be severely disappointed come election day.
The last thing we need in Lee County is someone that Harold Breeden is supporting. The citizens of Lee County let their feelings about that administration be known in the last election, when they voted Harold Breeden out of office and elected Reggie Rachals the Sheriff of Lee County. A vote for David Cheshire might as well be a vote for Harold Breeden, and his way of doing things. I think we had enough of that already.
Anyone that vandalizes a church or church property shouldn't be allowed to continue to be a Police Officer, much less the Sheriff.
