Unruly teens disrupt Fourth fireworks

Problems like this take generations to get this bad but can be broken in one with a commitment to equip your child with values, resources, and skills. Some "parents" are just babymakers today and don't know where to begin. It does not take a village. I am a male single parent and I chose to break the cycle of dysfunction for my children and am proud of their passing on the discipline, conduct, and structure to offer their children the same... So sad for Albany...........

Don't worry folks...The 2 previous posters "VV" and WS" are spot on.. I have had SB as a fB friend since its inception. Oh, he is visible right now but after the elections you can't get anything but a pre-printed form letter out of him... I say send him anywhere to hide but Washington as an elected official... I'm sure he has a lobby job lined up if we can ever "boot" him.......

Once again the school system gets a failing grade and not just in Albany. I graduated DHS in '69 and went on to college without any remedial classes before I could take the "101" classes. We are taking this "melting pot" nation down the road of divisiveness instead of diversity. Yes, I have pride in my ancestry but I don't claim to be a ??????-American. I am an American. Nations(a vast majority 3rd world) claim their religion, tribe, clan, ethnicity, etc. before they claim their nationality. The sooner we start teaching good old reading, writing, and arithmetic and have families that value education, honesty, showing up on time, and the list goes on we will be hard pressed to find qualified burger flippers much less anyone that knows how to use a bunsen burner or that can solve a calculus equation...Throw in a Civics class too...... When the cheaters are the teachers, what do we expect the kids to learn?????

They can juggle the numbers, re-invent a new formula, etc.... The fact will still remain that a large percentage will graduate with very poor reading, math, and science skills. I graduated in 1968 and I know "Jr. High Dropouts" from those days more educated than grads today.....

Heroic story of some true American hero's. There are many stories within the Tuskegee Airmen. I visited the museum 4 years ago and one must say that they endured a lot of bigotry and still were men of deep and strong character. I salute each and every one of you for giving your service so selflessly. People of all color could learn a great deal from your experiences.
