Congress is to blame for all of this mess. The Republicans have made a mockery of this country.

I hope they are satisfied. Obama will go down as the greatest President of all times. In 8 short years, he will have had to endure almost 400 years of pent-up frustration of people who never wanted this country to be a country for all people, but only for wealthy, white, male landowners.

Do the research on policies in this country. Any policy contrary to favoring wealthy, white, males always gets criticized.

People better recognize, white privilege is only privilege for wealthy, white, males. Then, the rest of the country is pitted against each other while they go laughing to the bank.

One day, some of us will be free.

Majesty of Albany Theatre endures

I know what the City of Albany is doing. They are trying to recreate the culture of the past where those with money came to have a good time. It is good to redevelop places, but there must be sustainable, livable wage job creation at the same time. In this manner, the majority of the people who are draining the City coffers can find employment that will pay more than government subsidies.

Truly, the U.S. has found billions of dollars to redevelop after natural disasters. However, man-made disasters don't seem to get funding, only government ball and chain aid furthering decline.

I hope that Albany can create industries other than the Phoebe NPO healthscare that will employ the population that can't up and move to Lee and Worth county.

This one reply has something to it. It is interesting to note that this all too often pattern of parenting closes mirrors that of the plantation. It seems as if it were only yesterday when the "masters" either studded the slave women or had the male slaves stud the women to get bodies to work the plantation. Someone must tell the black community that slavery is over, and they don't have to mate in this fashion anymore; it is not cost effective to tax payers. You see, the master barely paid anything to keep them alive. In this modern day system, it seems that too much money is being used but not in the right way. Way to go Uncle Sam. You found a new way to get bodies for big government to have work.

I hope, I hope, its off to work we go!!!!!

No it doesn't. Look at how taxes even came to be. The American public has been duped for decades. Jekyll Island was the greatest scam on the citizens of this country. The dominoes were set up long before the latest puppet president came into office.

I hope that people will be able to handle the truth when it is revealed--- only the 1% of the world is important. The rest of us 99% are pawns in their game of power, domination, and control.

The games of racism, sexism, and all the other isms are to distract the public from asking the right questions. Also, all of the hedonistic behaviors that distract the public is another way to keep people from knowing the truth.

I hope that everyone knows it is part of Adams Smith's lie of the invisible hand. The total collapse of the U.S. economy is right on time to usher in the One World Order. Look at the recent 1776 high One World Trade Center.

None of all of this world chaos is by accident, but by sheer design of the the enlightened ones. What has allowed things to get this bad has been the divide and conquer art of war. Turn mankind against itself and it will destroy itself.

Encounter helps erase years of bigotry

I hope that God does not get tired of us down here and destroy us by fire like the Bible says.

I also hope that people learn from science and history. It was alluded to earlier. Everyone is genetically colored or black, meaning with melanin; the expression of the melanin is what differs. Ex. Look at white people with freckles or age spots, you see the reexpression of melanin.

That black persons who migrated to different regions of the world were able to genetically mutate (i.e., become black mutants with repressed melanin or becoming white persons) is a wonderful scientific and spiritual marvel of God. It has nothing to do with those black mutants being superior, just able to adapt to the environment.

So what a waste! For all these centuries, the human family because of differently expressed melanin has been hating, killing, and harming one another. It is such a painful indictment of the failure of humanity overall.

Thanks Carlton, more people from all walks of life need to come to terms with the past and especially as it relates to one group of humans dominating other groups.

Massey: Misinformation hurts NYSP program

I hope that the funding will be provided. Officials and citizens must understand if youth are not given structured programs now, they will pay later with prison costs.

Remember when $1 million was spent on the Gang Task Force! Just imagine how many youth in annual structured summer programs could have benefited from that $1 million. Then, look at the costs savings of them not going to RYDC and prison.
