If we determine? So someone will be monitoring for fake FB accounts? Then why not just monitor for offending posts as it is now and let us be? I know for a fact that the Herald removes posts for their buddies, so obviously it can be done.
What a shame. I have been LuLu for at least 12 years. I have strong opinions, but I have NEVER called anyone an ugly name. Unfortunately, I will not be able to post anymore now because of my job, but it won't be fun anymore, anyway. We've all seen what happened to WALB's site after they made the switch. They have one commenter now, OJ Simson, who is obviously using a fake Facebook account, and all he posts is childish gibberish. It seems to have defeated the purpose. Might as well just take away the comment feature altogether. A sad day for us all.
Banished from the city? And, according to WALB, ordered to stay away from Taylor's family and his grave? I don't know anything about either family or their history, but both of those seem to be cruel and unusual punishments. Does Mathis' family live here? Is banishment from a gravesite a normal thing? It sounds to me like Taylor was just as much at fault as Mathis was, if not more. My husband and I have had discussions along these lines before actually. He has an ex-girlfriend who has caused us many, many problems over the years. Unfortunately the police know her and us well. But if -- God forbid! -- anything should ever happen to my husband, I would never, EVER in a million years block her from visiting him in the hospital or attending his funeral and saying her goodbyes. As cold as I can be sometimes, my heart is just not THAT cold. Good or bad, she did love him and to deny someone -- anyone! -- their one chance to say goodbye is beyond cruel. I do hope the family and judge will rethink the gravesite banishment.
At least we have a Bright today that sounds like it was written by a real person. Usually they sound like a marketing ploy from a PR firm or the Chamber of Commerce.
What problems, exactly, that affect programs for the poor is the Squawker talking about? If you want to start a serious discussion, state facts and numbers, not just vague liberal talking points.

No, it's not odd at all that seeing old pictures can bring back memories. I've been doing a lot of that recently for the very same reason.
