Lewis-Polite wins DCSS Teacher of the Year April 17, 2014
Hello BettyBowTie, I mean Betty... it's me, Momof3 a.k.a. Danette
I've actually seen some comments on WALB (through FB) that are totally made up. So will the Herald go through and delete those since I know there are some that will make up fake FB names w/fake pictures?
SO proud of all the graduates and especially mine as she sat on stage as an honor graduate from AHS. Much luck to you all as your embark on your futures!
I have to agree. Both my sons are at RCMS and I love it the way it is. I pray she doesn't come over and mess up with is already working!
Congratulations Derex Woumnm and the Mitchell County ladies track team. It really makes me smile when I read articles about you and your teams (track and basketball) and the energy you have for those kids and your school. You have come a long way since B-A-M and I am very proud of your and your school!!
I guess I understand that but my issue is who do you put there in his place? If the school is running fine now, which it is, why take the chance on messing it up with someone else. Eh... I'll just pray on it and hope they make the best decisions for all of the schools.
I am a little curious as to why Dr. Pringle from Robert Cross is on this list. As a parent of two Robert Cross students, I must say I have had no issues at all with the school or him. They have always been willing to help or answer any of my necessary questions. Not only that, I think that their test scores across the board have been better than any other middle school, or high school for that matter in Albany. I really like Dr. Pringle and I hope he stays where he is, I guess unless they feel like he could help somewhere else better.
Congratulations Coach Chatmon and thank you for your years of dedication to your team.
Congratulations Mrs. Morine! My son was in Mrs.Morine's class last year at Robert Cross and loved it. I never had one issue. Everytime I e-mailed, called or sent notes home she always responded, encouraging me to come visit the class and helping me and my son any way she could. She is really dedicated to her job and her students and I really do appreciate that!
THANK YOU Fryar.... I am praying that your e-mail does NOT go unread. Some of (not all) of the DoCo teachers are for sure not qualified and this just proves it. How in the world can you just "lecture" in a math class and not have any participation? It just makes no sense. Only there to get their paycheck at the end of the month, not caring about the student's education or well being. My son told me just yesterday that one of his elememtary school teachers told the class that the CRCT scandal that is going on in Atlanta was the fault of the students for letting the teachers down and not passing. I explained to him that is far from the truth, that the teachers need to figure out alternate ways to teach the students (no two kids are alike, so why should teaching strategies and skills be??) and that she was wrong.I was there this morning to talk with the principal about this as well. It just irritates me to no end!!!
Something needs to be done and I pray that Mr.Mosley and the rest of the board figures that out BEFORE contract renewals come up.
