My, how far our country has fallen. And, if you expect to get any answer other than the the "...due to the high volume of correspondence..." from Bishop's office, don't hold your breath. Plus, he will absolutely toe the party line on this and every issue.

Sanford Bishop voted for this boondoggle and defends it to this day. I just read where the IRS will be responsible for enforcing some 47 tax provisions included in ObamaCare. So, I guess we'll get the efficiency of the US Postal service coupled with the compassion of the IRS. Sounds like a great deal! He also assisted in the Pigford scandal (which is getting bigger each day). Why do we, collectively, continue to trot him back to DC? He's been there for over 20 years and has authored about a dozen pieces of legislation...none of any real consequence. He is WHY DC is a broken, dysfunctional mess. He is not a part of the solution.

An internal government email sent Monday instructed an official with a subdivision of the U.S. Department of Agriculture to make sure that sequester-related cuts inflict as much pain as possible to make sure “you are not contradicting what we said the impact would be.”

Sequester: we are talking about a less than 4% cut. F-O-U-R percent! Furloughs were unnecessary. The FAA was simply doing Obama's bidding...inflicting as much pain as possible on the public. Don't whine because the House called O's bluff!

And, the Democratic-lead Senate initiated the bill to end the FAA furloughs. Those up for re-election in '14 are scared to death that they will go down with Obama for supporting his agenda.

Actually, I think we can credit the Democrats with initiating the vote last week. Sequester was the President's idea. He wanted it, got it and used it to "inflinct the highest degree of pain" on the public (his words). Those Democrats up for re-election in '14 are scared to death that Obama is going to take them down with him.

I am fully aware of the plight of the middle class, as I am included in that segment. I will, though, take you up on the offer. The squawk, however, seems to imply that Bush single-handedly took it upon himself to crush us.

(Nice word-play on the whole objectiveeyes name. Kudos!)

You are right. Bush never was challenged on the issues you mention. Instead, he faced lies about his Air National Guard service, blamed for 9-11, accused of invading Iraq for personal gain and called a "clown" (that was one of the nicer names). For the last 4 years, Obama has blamed him for every ill in the country. Let's get together in 20 years and we'll see how history really paints these two.

"Crush the middle class?" Simply liberal talk show talking points.
