Polling is the 'new' way most media outlets use to gage where the public is on the different subjects. You may find some polls that agree with your views. If you are a person that is very diverse in meeting people then you should run into a few people that have a different view on this subject. And maybe you can influence others to think outside of their box since it shouldn't be of any surpise that other people have different views that must be respected. But you already knew this.

You used the trust 7 times, so I guess you have a distrust for this President and his adminstration. The good part may be that you didn't include the rest of the federal government (Senate or the House of Reps). Otherwise you would know that your tax dollars have been going to countries that "hate" for over 50 years. Yet it is curious that when natural disasters happens Obama haters (not you) welcome help from that same distrustful adminstration. Curious?

Obviously reading the bill and comprehension of the bill is two different items. Also having mental thoughts as to what the writers of the 2nd amendment intened is an added feature. You are in tough place since you don't trust any "new" legistation and dropped your coverage on an "expected" increase. Hopefully things will get better for your family.

QUIK 1 year ago on Same-sex marriage should not happen

Mr Conley

Your comments are valid from a spiritual point of view and I concur. But that paper called the constitution gives the freedom for same sex marriage. I don’t like it but that is what people have been screaming about especially in the last 5 years – their rights. The constitution finally came around for one gender to have the right to vote, it came around for one race to be accepted as human. The constitution came around for one race to marry outside of their race. Quoting scriptures that is true is good but not when you have as your foundation a flawed document that allow everyone to do as they please. I would say keep quoting scriptures but realize we are working with a flawed piece of paper. Same sex marriage will happen just like women’s rights to vote, interracial marriage and the ban on alcohol drinking lifted. We can’t boast about our freedoms compared to other countries (especially compared to the Middle East laws) while complaining about people who exercise or push for their freedoms to new limits. It’s the new American way – demand YOUR rights.

I have labeled them as a "BULLY" since I first arrived in 1999. Glad the courts stepped in since the people were too afraid to voice a strong protest. Their monopoly run may be over!!! The last thing they are thinking about is "small town committment".

QUIK 1 year, 2 months ago on Entire American system is broken

If you the entire system broken, then who can fix it? Most don't trust the government, (especially in this region) so that only leave the people to vote in new government officials. Now you are back to square one. The system is not broken but the system is heading to it's appointed outcome. The problem is it's citizens who (in every nation) support hate, envy and only show love to those that love them.

For those that travel outside of their immediate community, they already know that there are vast opinions and views to consider. Fear should be attacked with debate and respect (which many are fighting against).

At the end of the day, these are the 'workings' of our government. Its sad that many people believe that their view is the only right view and so continue to be the real problem.

The fact that you decided to term me as foolish and ignorant MAY mean that you have a problem expressing yourself to those that disagree with you. Everyone that writes to the editor or comments on a writing are expressing MOSTLY an opinion (with some facts) and this is what we call an debate. So since you MAY not realize this I will try not to further myself with those type of people. Have a nice day.

To answer your first question, yes. To your second question, no. I am not aware of 'subway toll booths' being sprayed with lighter fluid during my living in New York City, Europe or elsewhere but its nice to know. You should make a list of items that are NOT regulated. You may find that most lawmakers don't have a problem restricting our "rights", like speed limits, seat belts, food ads, pollution controls, daycares, housing etc. Guns and ammo will not be the exception. Have a nice day.
