Rev. Terence Dicks is honored to represent the 12th Congressional District on the Democratic Party of Georgia State Committee (Term 2011 - 2014).
He is working hard for the re-election of Pres. Obama.
From 2002 to the present, Mr. Dicks has been a member of the Richmond County Democratic Party (RCDP) and since 2006 has been a member of the RCDP State Committee aka Richmond County State Committee.
The RCDP State Committee (aka Richmond County State Committee) members represent the 12th Congressional District on the Democratic Party of Georgia State Committee.
Starting in Feb. 2012, Mr. Dicks was named Southern Regional organizer for the Progressive Democrats of America (PDA).
Mr. Dicks serves as the PDA state of Georgia Coordinator (2008-present).
He joined the national PDA in 2007.
Terence is a longtime member (2004-present) of the Augusta Progressive Religious Coalition.
In the summer of 1999, Rev. Dicks was ordained at the St. Johns Missionary Baptist Church in Brunswick, Georgia by Rev. Zack Lyde.
Rev. Dicks believes that American Democrats should live by their traditional and original values often called liberal - but in fact support human rights, civil rights, strongly supporting worker's rights often through union representation, safe workplace conditions, worldwide Fair Trade in all industries across the planet to prevent horrific treatment of workers and extremely low pay plus the decent, fair and dignified treatment of all humans, the environment and wildlife.
Rev. Dicks says Democrats need to return to their traditional progressive values and not - as sometimes occurs in the south - move towards right wing (non) values and rhetoric.
By not speaking out against wrongdoing, it is tacit support of that wrongdoing.
Terence believes in fighting blatant prejudice and hidden ingrained institutional racism.
