Please do not forget to bring up the problem with the local air transportation. I always drive to Atlanta rather than take the flights from the Albany airport. They are too few and far between and prices are ridiculous. Four times since 1999 my flights either to or from Atlanta were late and I missed connections and once my luggage was lost. The airline had the nerve to call me the next day when it came in from Atlanta and told me I COULD COME AND PICK IT UP ANY TIME.....there was no way in hell I was making a 140 mile round trip to Albany to pick up a piece of luggage.

Good one Clif.. and most likely you are right. Not to change the subject, but have you noticed lately that Blakely seems to be trying to improve itself. For years it was drab and falling in disrepair and on my bi-weekly trips thru there and Colquitt on my way to Tallahassee I notice that it seems to be catching up with Colquitt. I always thought it was a nice looking little town with its murals and the arts festivals. I notice Blakely is beginning to clean up the place so maybe one day it will have a pretty square like Colquitt has and those side streets won't look so bad. I have noticed the public housing for the most part is being kept in good shape in Blakely so hats off to the Authority.

I wonder if Ruby knows there is such a thing as cyberlibel...if not she should for I think she committed it in her earlier post about Mrs. Calloway's order for a new BMW at Hank Aaron's BMW motorcars. Is there really a cousin who texted you....is there really an order for a brand new BMW? Go to this webpage and read all about cyberlibel...yes there is such a thing:

http://www.wisegeek.com/what-is-libel.htm

You had better hope no one sent this page to Mrs. Calloway's attorneys, for I am sure she has some by now, or to a newspaper, say the Atlanta Constitution, so the readers can see what some people are saying, how some are libeling themselves. If I were you I think I would click the "suggest removal" quickly. I think I will e-mail Hank Aaron motors and ask them if in fact, Mrs. Calloway ordered a new BMW and tell them rumors are being spread down here in Sowega on a blog. They (and your cousin who may or may not work there) would like to know, I would think. If the cousin knows about the order then I presume the cousin works there. If it is true the cousin told you, the cousin may lose his/her job....

Won't do any good. They won't take the time to read or research. They are too busy watching Fox News and believing everything they see. Pretty sad they get their news from a conglomerate some Australian married to someone with roots in Communist China holds 93% of ownership in and a Saudi Prince holds the other 7%. Yeah, I am sure that is "fair and impartial reporting". Do you know what LMAO means? That is what I am doing now.

Do they receive SS benefits and if so, what type? Do/did they collect Medicare? My father was a retired military man and received a substantial military retirement but at the time of his retirement the program was quite different than it is now for widows of military retirees so he got a part time job to earn credit hours towards his Social Security (and at the time of his retirement they did not take Social Security out like they did when I was in, so I draw both military and SS retirement with no penalty). He wanted to make sure my mother was well provided for should he die well before her. He died 3 years before she did but because of him earning his SS credits she was well taken care of. The military didn't start taking from my checks for SS and Medicare until 1966.

Probably the one that used to be smack dab in the middle of the continent of Africa and called the Belgian Congo and was mostly white Afrikaners and then it changed to Zaire and most recently it became the Democratic Republic of Congo. I don't know why but it did. Remember the name MOBUTU...and all the bloody news pictures on the nightly news about people being hacked to death in uprisings during his term as president. I think that in time we will find our troops engaged in a war in Africa, just as we are now engaged in the Middle East. I think it will be over human rights. Remember, opinions, opinions, opinions and I am entitled to mine.

Look at what you are reading...these are called opinions. It is the manner in which they are given that I have commented on. At least no one is doing it in the manner in which it is usually done, are they? Yes, everyone has a right to their opinion and so far isn't it nice that these opinions are given in such an orderly manner? Who said you could not voice a view or opinion, positive or negative? I don't remember seeing a rule. It is nice to see adults acting like adults.
